Interviews from Quito – Colombian Solidarity Activist Alice Loaiza

Today our host Gregory Wilpert interviews sociologist and Bay Area Colombian solidarity activist Alice Loaiza about major issues in the country. These include the FARC’s insistence on the adoption of social justice measures in the peace process, the terrible conditions faced by thousands of FARC political prisoners in Colombian jails, the role of the United States in the country and its establishment of seven military bases there since 2009–one of which serves as a new School of the Americas.
